Pretentious lions

Oh, beware the lion that you see as pretentious,

As thinking itself to be unique and worthy of all attention.

For if you claim it to be preposterous,

It will most likely eat you.
...
...
...
What? It will!

Maple trees

The strange garb of a maple tree,

The fabrics and hues revolving

Through harsh and green, to red and soft

A myst’ry never solving.

The shore and the waves

Why must the waves, when moon doth call

Should leave the shore alone?

The rocky friend that never strays

Must watch it’s friend take flight.

But the shore stays at peace,

When the waves disappear

For it knows it’s trusted advisor will soon return.

I'd like to...

I’d like to dream tonight.

I’d like to swing my feet over the pit of my imagination, to rediscover the beauty of flight.

I’d like to remember the past, to excavate lost memories

I’d like to hope about the future and pray for things to last.

I’d like to battle for my pride, my joy, my beliefs, and never have to stop from weariness or doubt.

I’d like to sing and dance, to dig up lost treasures, and investigate lost friends.

I’d like to not understand, to have a puzzle to solve, but no real force to solve it.

I’d like to paint out my dreams on a canvas, for people to see and understand.

I’d like to be the bravest bodyguard, to lay down my life repeatedly for the greatest causes and loyalties.

I’d like to dream tonight, if only for a little while.

1000 by Kels

I would make a thousand paper cranes,
to get a single wish.
I'd cook a thousand tomatoes,
to get a simple dish.
i'd pick a thousand daisies,
to make a single chain.
But with a thousand searchlights,
you could'nt find my brain.

A boy on his first date
The prom was in the evening.
He'd asked his favorite girl
His head was really spinning,
As he knocked on the door.
His head filled up with butterflies.
His heart was a pounding drum.
Of all the things he could have said,
He barely managed "Um...."
She sweetly smiled at him.
He managed a shaky grin.
Then holding hands nervously,
They quickly entered in.
At first they talked awkwardly.
Then, almost in a trance,
He bowed at her politely,
And asked her for a dance.

I'll write something

AS i'm in class, i just said to Becka "I'll write something"
So i will, because i don't wanna dissapoint anyone.
So here i sit, writing anything i feel like and getting nowhere...
But there is something quite awesome about this:
It sounds and looks somewhat poetic.
Doesn't it?
I have just decided to name a character CIEVOTH
but what shall this character look like?
The name was NEVER MEANT TO BE BORN>
and was on one of those 'type whatcha see' thingies
that becka was typing
to get on FANFICTION
and so now i have written something. Thank you for your time.

Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

Feeling poetic

Such a clumsy thing makes such a lovely sound. It trips upon the little metal stubs to create such beautiful music. It falls in time and creates majestic chiming sounds and is covered with a beautiful dancer. Spinning Spinning, never moving from her postition. Lovely, peaceful, Music box.

Writers block

I sit here and I wonder,
what will I write today?
In my chair I ponder,
but only find delay!
I know I should have written,
just what I have to say;
but at the rate I'm writing,
it's gonna take all day!

Haikus from me to you

prowling a prowling
does the little black cat go
stalking in the snow

the Bible says true
what Jesus came here to do
died for me and you

dragon flying east
for the sun he plans to meet
flying to the clouds

flame burning up high
embers to the skys they leap
bonfire touches the sky
