My story Chapter one pt two

Ichigo had been attacked by dogs when she was little, and had large scars on her legs that made it hard for her to walk. She sometimes walked to school with them, but her dad usually drove her.
Samson, Shoelace, and Tansi waited at the top of the hill, waiting for her to catch up. “Thanks,” She said, panting slightly when she reached them. “Oh, hello Lacey,” Ichigo said, looking down at the four year old with a grin, “How are you today?” The little girl looked up, beaming at being spoken to like a grown up. “Fine!” She chirped, and stuck her tongue out at Samson. “Bubby is taking me to preschool today!” “Really?” Ichigo teased, poking Samson in the ribs. “Um… I’ll race you!” Samson blurted out, and hopping on his scooter, he raced down the hill. Laughing, Tansi and Ichigo followed, leaving Shoelace scrambling behind them.
The small group of friends soon reached the Little Footsteps Preschool, and Samson took Shoelace inside.
Ichigo and Tansi sat down on the bench outside the building and talked quietly together. “Is there still no sign of your father?” Ichigo asked softly, looking into Tansi's eyes. “No.” Tansi replied, looking away into the distance.
The beautiful morning sun rose higher into the sky, and warm sunlight landed softly on the two teen’s faces. The bright light shone off Tansi’s necklace, and she held it up so the world could see it. “Whenever I hold this necklace, I think of him, and I can feel in my heart that he is alive.” Tansi sighed and leaned back. “I just know it.”
A few moments later, a tinkling of bells told the girls that Samson had come back outside. “Ugh,” He grumbled, brushing dust of his pants, “I was nearly trampled by four year olds in there!” Shaking her head and laughing, Ichigo stood up and patted Samson on the back. “It’s Okay!” she said as if talking to a baby. “You’ll live.”
Tansi stood up, and the trio walked down the road to their school.
